Moon Phase Calendar
Understanding today’s moon phase
The Moon moves through a repeating cycle lasting about 29.5 days. A new moon begins the cycle, the illuminated portion grows through the waxing phases, the full moon marks the brightest point, and the waning phases lead back towards the next new moon. The tracker calculates the current phase so you can see where today sits within that cycle.
Many people use the lunar cycle as a practical rhythm for reflection. New moons are traditionally associated with beginnings and intention setting, first quarter moons with action, full moons with culmination, and last quarter moons with review and release. These are spiritual traditions rather than scientific predictions, so use them in the way that feels useful to you.
